Basic Function of the Position – The incumbent is responsible for effective operations of the Facilities Management (FAC) section at the U.S. Consulate General Peshawar by managing its supply store that has tools and spares for all trade shops like electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and generator etc. S/he also manages the work orders and assigning them to technicians of appropriate trade. S/he maintains and updates all facilities related drawings in Auto-CAD, brochures, and manual database so that the post critical infrastructure information is properly maintained and documented and all reference material is readily available when required for maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year of clerical or maintenance operations experience is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have general knowledge about maintenance procedures and terminology. S/he must possess the knowledge of clerical operations and procedures. S/he must have basic knowledge of maintaining stock inventory. The incumbent must have basic computer knowledge.
Education Requirements:
Completion of Higher Secondary School (12 years of education) is required. An AutoCAD training certificate is also required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level III (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English, Urdu and Pashto is required. English & Pashto language skills will be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The incumbent must have an ability to operate standard office machinery. S/he must be proficient in computer skills for preparing correspondence, maintaining work request logs etc. S/he must be able to deal tactfully with all levels of personnel requesting maintenance and repair services. Skills & abilities may be tested.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA:


1. Management may consider any of the following when determining successful candidacy: nepotism, conflicts of interest, budget, and residency status.

2. Current OR employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply. Current OR employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report (EPR) are not eligible to apply.

3. Current NOR employees hired on a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Personal Service Agreement (PSA) are not eligible to apply within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless they have a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.

4. The candidate must be able to obtain and hold the local security certification.

5. Candidates who are EFMs, USEFMs, AEFMs, or MOHs must have at least one year remaining on their sponsor’s tour of duty to be considered eligible to apply for this position.

6. Current employees who have voluntarily been reassigned/promoted from one position to another are not eligible to apply for six months from the effective date of the reassignment/promotion.

7. Current employees who have received any job-related training are not eligible to apply in another section/agency for six months from the effective date of the training.

8. U.S. Mission Pakistan will not bear any travel expenses for testing, interviews, pre-employment clearances (if selected) or relocation for joining.
