Job Summary:
·         Responsible for effectively partnering with management to understand business needs; developing, executing and tracking recruiting strategies; identifying, using and evaluating a variety of recruiting sources to attract and develop a diverse pipeline of candidates; screening, interviewing and selecting candidates for positions in the organization; collaborating with management in arranging interviews for qualified applicants and creating and negotiating job offers; ensuring successful on boarding of new hires and compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. Assist with retention efforts by identifying potential training opportunities and coordinating and/or conducting new hire and/or leadership training approved by management.

General Duties:
Develops and implement a recruitment strategies that align with organizations
goals and objectives.Consults and collaborates with management and senior
leadership to identify, develop, execute, track and evaluate appropriate
recruiting strategies.
  • Continually explores alternative staffing, sourcing, and selection techniques to align with best practices in the industry.
  • Develops, evaluates and tracks recruitment plans for difficult to fill positions.
  • Continually identifies, uses and evaluates a variety of recruiting sources to attract and develop a diverse pipeline of candidates.
  • Collaborates with management in scheduling interviews and negotiating job offers.
  • In coordination with the other members of the Human Resources Department, analyzes relevant market factors, including compensation packages, shift differential and sign on bonuses.
  • In coordination with Compensation, analyzes internal and external salary equity and competitiveness. 
  • Serves as the face of the organization and promotes its brand and opportunities when recruiting and interviewing applicants.
  • Works with management and/or marketing or business development to coordinates appropriate advertisements or branding opportunities for recruitment .Creates, implements and monitors the effectiveness of advertisements and/or branding efforts.
  • Identifies, plans and participates in professional conferences, job fairs, open houses and other recruiting events.
  • Identifies and develops relationships with schools of nursing/colleges to develop a pipeline of candidates.
  • Maintains a sensitive, fair and impartial approach to dealing with applicants.
  • Anticipates recruitment problems, considers new sources of labor supply, and improves recruitment methods.
  • Coordinates performance of background checks, verification of license and/or certification per hospital policy. Coordinates reference checks.
  • Assists with compiling and analyzing information concerning turnovers and other personnel statistics.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of job requirements of various positions in the organization.
  • Conducts exit interviews and relays information back to VP, HR, CNO and Director if situation requires.
  • Contributes to ongoing retention programs and initiatives. 
  • Confirms offer of employment, in writing, to applicant.
  • Maintains thorough documentation.
  • Communicates effectively.  Possesses excellent written communication skills.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Attends meetings, prepares reports and analyzes and provides recommendations in a timely and accurate manner.  Is an active participant.
  • Partners with and provides guidance and training to hiring managers on writing effective job descriptions, using proper interviewing techniques, and compliance with state, federal, local and company guidelines.
  • Assist with retention efforts by identifying potential training opportunities and coordinating and/or conducting new hire and/or leadership training approved by management.
  • Contributes to various Human Resources department initiatives by recommending approaches and ideas to affect continual improvement in efficiency of the department and services provided.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience required. Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of recruiting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local regulations relating to Human Resources, i.e. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Affirmative Action, ADA, CFRA and FMLA
  • Hospital Fire Card
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, managing nursing and clinical recruitment initiatives
Language Skills:
  • Ability to communicate in English and understand verbal and written instructions
Technical Skills:
  Microsoft Office software
 Working knowledge of Human Resources
 business and economics databases
