Human Resource Associate – Sustainable Energy Project
Tetra Tech ES, Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech (USA) dedicated to international development, is recruiting for a Pakistan-based professional for the position below to support a multi-year (2017-2021) USAID-funded sustainable energy project in Pakistan.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Human Resource Associate will report to the Human Resource Manager and will be responsible to perform tasks necessary to ensure successful implementation of the SEP project’s objectives in a timely and transparent manner.
This position is based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Assist the Human Resource Manager in coordinating the project implementation Components teams regarding requirement and replacement of new staff, posting vacant positions on job sites and preparing job advertisements;
  • Assist in receipt and review of applications, screening, short listing job applicants and schedule interviews for short listed candidates;
  • Support the recruitment and selection process including reference checks and related documentation;
  • Draft employment agreements for new inductions and coordinate within the HR Team, Finance and Operations regarding placement, welcome package and orientation of new employees and briefing them about office policies and procedures;
  • Maintain CV files both in soft and hard copies as data bank;
  • Assist, monitor and coordinate annual performance evaluations process;
  • Assist in establishing communication systems for producing human resources information for management purposes, including reporting to the Home Office;
  • Coordinate with local IT support to provide technical backstopping over the networking/configuring new email IDs of new staffs in coordination with the Operations Director;
  • Maintain high ethical standards at all times, avoiding any actual or perceived conflicts of interest;
  • Abide by all local laws, USAID regulations and the organizations policies and procedures;
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)

EDUCATION:
B.S./B.A. in HRM required; professional certification
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an equivalent position
SKILLS: 
  • Ability to perform successfully as a member of multiple project-related teams;
  • Strong computer literacy skills required in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, web browsers, and email;
  • Excellent communications and writing ability;
  • Demonstrated successful interpersonal skills
LANGUAGES:            
Fluency in both English and Urdu required; other Pakistani languages preferred.
